Jun Gao started his PhD on 15th Jun, 2017. He got his master degree from Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden in 2013 and between 2013 and 2016, he was a cofounder and technical director of a startup in China.

His recent research interests are statistic analysis of Android apps, ML based code analysis, vulnerability and malware detection of Android apps. The topic of his PhD is Android malware detection, and the goal of this PhD is to have a good understanding about malware in Android apps, discovery features and patterns for automatic malware detection etc.
